Day 1 – From Ascoli Piceno to Venarotta
From the ancient capital of the Piceni to Venarotta, where you will find one of the convents established by San Francesco d'Assisi.
- Departure from Piazza del Popolo, Ascoli Piceno
- Stage of about 14 km, moderate elevation gain
- B&Bs and farmhouses available in Venarotta
Day 2 – Roccafluvione
In the territory of the Municipality of Roccafluvione, you will encounter ancient water mills, Romanesque churches, and taste the prized black truffle.
- Some mills on the Fluvione river can still be visited
- Black truffle in season: October–November (local festivals)
- Accommodation: Casa Vacanze Ficocchia, Affittacamere Il Borgo del Vento (Vindola)
Day 3 – Montegallo and the Monti Sibillini
In Montegallo, you enter the area of the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini, dominated by imposing mountain massifs.
- Altitude over 900 m — the most demanding stage of the route
- Snow possible in spring: check the weather forecast
- Adequate trekking equipment recommended
