Wood-fired gnocchi
Gnocchi alla sorrentina, a dish known worldwide, traditionally prepared with potato gnocchi, tomato, mozzarella, and basil, and served in the classic earthenware pot. A dish present on all local restaurant menus, but there is one restaurant that preserves a precious memory of it, unique in the Sorrento peninsula. Here, in fact, cooking still takes place in a wood-fired oven, giving the recipe all the richness of wood aromas, just as it happened in the past. A unique experience for the palate.

Which area to stay in
Sorrento is well connected by both public and private transport. However, it is recommended to stay in central and neighboring areas: connections with the hilly area are subject to the schedules of public transport or private shuttles.
How to get there and get around
To reach Sorrento, public transport is recommended, hydrofoil from Naples or Circumvesuviana (avoid the Campania Express: it costs much more and the journey is practically identical to ordinary trains to Sorrento).
To reach the places in the center, it is mandatory to move on foot, as they are all in a pedestrian zone. Car/motorcycle parking is widely available but relatively expensive. Taxis are expensive; we recommend checking the cost of the ride beforehand.
